The Outreach Council provides information about our outreach work to keep us linked and aware, helps plan and offer specific efforts by the church, commits to regular prayer for the poor and needy and our efforts to serve them, offers educational opportunities as needed in the church, and guides the church in listening for an emerging vision and call from God for our specific ministry in this area. Each month we feature one Outreach Ministry Focus, and we have opportunities that recur every month. Some of our ministries include Aid to the Dominican Republic CROP Walk Seafarers' Christmas boxes Angel Tree gifts for children of prison inmates Lenten Mite Bottles for Water for Malawi Second Sunday Is Theirs (flour & sugar for food pantries) Family Promise Buddy Church (ministry to the homeless) Prayer Shawl Ministry
